THE PRIMAEVAL STORY

Stories are building blocks to every civilization; they carry the moral seed and the existential struggles, so that present can adjust for the future. Though every story is different essentially, the structure is basically the same. The plot will always have the protagonist (the hero) and the antagonist (villain). This format of reasoning is nested in the manner in which we reason. The hero is the one who has the might to bring order to the chaos that has been wrought by the villain.

The hero and the villain are locked in an eternal fight and they seem to reincarnate, embodying different personalities and concept and yet maintaining the struggle to exert dominance. This is even seen in the story of Christ and his incarnation as he was proclaimed to have been manifested as the light that destroys the work of the devil who is the embodiment of darkness. What if, all stories are sourced from a primaeval story that demonstrates good triumph over evil? What if before all stories, there was the first story perhaps told in ages past from which man used as a template in telling his story and sowing the precious seed? What if we are merely reiterating the same stories over and over again of the one and the same primaeval story of the cosmos?

Good and evil are trans-migrants, reincarnating and taking on different bodies. It may surprise you that I am using the concept of reincarnation to explain this. I do not believe that people die and come back in other forms as a result of the accretion of their karmic debts. But, I can say that purpose or ideas does resurface in…
