Once upon a time in a lush forest, there lived a tiny ant who was born into a colony. From her birth, she was taught to work hard for the colony and the queen, who controlled her every move through the pheromone scent she emitted.

One day, while foraging for food, the ant stumbled upon a fungus mushroom. The mushroom was unlike anything she had ever tasted before, and as she feasted on it, a new awareness came over her. Suddenly, everything became clear. She started having distinct thoughts, and she was no longer pulled by her instincts , intead she felt an awakening, everything was different, she could hear the whole forest, she could tell the direction of the wind.

and she realized that she had no personal identity, not even a name.

She identified herself as Ole, which meant woe. Ole saw the nature of chaos everywhere, where each creature must contend with chaos by imposing their will to life. She named herself Ole.

The pheromone on the queen no longer controlled her. OLE saw it as her responsibility to free her brethren by offering them the same mushroom that brought her enlightenment. But as she pondered, she realized that those in the colony were part of a social machine contending with the chaos of existence, just like those in the external world.

It was just machines riding machines to sustain machines to produce more machines. The colony lifestyle was what they were born into, lived and died all to the service of a queen. But what made her queen? She was the queen because she was genetically designed to ensure the perpetual existence of the ant race.

So if she freed her people, she ran into a dilemma of them not being able to exist anymore as a species. But if she didn't free her people, she watched in horror as they were consumed by the very chaos they contend with.

Ole was torn between two choices. She could either free her people and face the extinction of the ant race, or she could move out of the colony in which she would die alone with her knowledge. The decision was not an easy one.

As she contemplated, she realized that life was not about merely existing but understanding the purpose of existence. But what is the meaning of purpose? And is purpose external to her or internal to her?.

Now that she had awakened, she was condemned to be free, but freedom to do what, what is freedom if it is not tied to something.

These were her contemplations as she sat under the mushroom.

Should Ole free her people, knowing that it might lead to their extinction, or should she move out of the colony and die alone with her knowledge?
